ARAPUNI OPERATIONS.
COFFER DAM REMOVED. DIVERSION TUNNEL CLOSED. The removal of the coffer dam in the headrace at Arapuni has been completed and the diversion tunnel has accordingly been dosed. It Is expected that water will go over the spillway asain by three o’clock tomorrow morning.
Through the closing of the tunnel the water level of the river at Hamilton was reduced to 6 feet below normal, but xvill commence to rise to-night resuming the ordinary level sometime on Monday night.
