ALSATIAN DOG.
ATTACK ON CONSTABLE. CAREER ENDED. (From a Correspondent.) SYDNEY, November 1 0. Called a second time lo' destroy an Alsatian dog which he wounded last night, Constable McDermott, of Rose Ray, was attacked by the animal this morning’. The dog, which escaped into the Bondi sandhills after being twice wounded when McDermott attempted to destroy it, at the request ol its owner last night, returned to its home this morning. When cornered by (lie constable the animal leapt at him, and after again living wounded, twice gripped the constable’s revolver in his mouth. Constable .McDermott discharged a bullet down Die animal's throat and it fell dead. I
