BUTTERFAT SUPPLIES.
INOREASE IN PRODUCTION. MANfAWATU COMPANIES. Dairy ■companies operating in the Manswalu are experiencing heavy advances in supplies of butterfat and production compared with last year. Increases range from 20 to 40 per cent.. The New Zealand Farmers' Dairy Union is over 30 per cent ahead of its production figures for this period of last year, with an increase of 40 per cent for October production when compared with the corresponding period of last year. The Awahurl Company -is making 84 boxes moi'e'butter dally, and for September and October an Increase of 66 lons was recorded. The output of the Kalranga Dairy Co. has increased by approximately 40 per cent, and that of the Shannon Dairy Company by approlmately 20 per cent.. A pay-out. of PJd a pound for butterfat foe October is being made by the Cheltenham, Hongotea, Awahurl, Kalranga, and the Farmers’ Dairy Union companies. The Shannon Company is paying 10d per pound. The Kalranga, Mangawliata, and llnngiolu companies are paying on a basis of lid for clieese, while Makowhai is advancing Is.
