ADDINGTON MARKETS. LAMB PRICES EASIER. A heavy southerly storm caused slightly smaller entries at the weeklymarket at Addington. Features of the market were an easing in lamb prices ahd a slight advance in mutton prices. Only four pens of store sheep were entered. There was a yarding of 873 fat lambs of good quality. Top price for the market was 18s 4d and the average price per lb, 5d to sid. Fat Sheep.—An entry of 3900, which was not sufficient for requirements. Values advanced IS a head for all classes. Fat Cattle.—An entry of 430 head, including large consignments from the North Island, Otago and Southland. The entry constituted a slight oversUppiy. Values for steers were on a par with late rates, while cows and heifers were inclined to be easier. A line of 49 steers from Palmerston North averaged £lO 3s 2d.
