THE WHEAT POSITION.
FURTHER FALL IN VALUES. WILL GOVERNMENT ACT? United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received Oct. 27, 11.10 a.m.) WINNIPEG, Oct. 26. A new seasonal low level In wheat prices was .reached to-day, losses ranging from 1 3-8 cents to 1 7-8 cents. OTTAWA, Oct. 26. The further fall in wheat to-day will doubtless bring the question of Government support of the market into the House of Commons. . Many rumours have been prevalent that the Dominion Secretary has supported the -market at times in the past, but the Government has never announced whether it was supporting 4he market. The announcement that no bonus would be given wheat growers this year has no connection with the support or otherwise of the grain exchange. Last year the Government gave the prairie farmers a bonus of five cents a bushel.
