WELLINGTON V. NELSON. McGIRR BOWLS WELL. BRIGHT BATTING BY ALLCOTT. (By Telegraph.-—Press Association.) NELSON, Thursday. The representative cricket match between Nelson and Wellington resulted in a draw. Continuing its innings yesterday, after losing four wickets for 74 runs, Wellington scored slowly, -the total reaching 147 y ifi runs short of Nelson’s first' Innings total. McGirr bowled 37 overs,. 14 being maidens, :and look three wickets for 44 runs. 'Nelson’s' second innings produced 128 for nine wickets, declared, leaving the visitors 148-,,t0 win, an hour before stumps. Trying to force the scoring, Wellington lost three wickets for 92 runs, Allcott batting brightly for 34, not out, including Hie only “sixer" of the match.
