LUNCHEON CLUB.

LAST MEETING THIS YEAR. tribute to president. After a highly successful season, the Hamilton Civio' Luncheon Club went into recess to-day and ‘will not resume its weekly gatherings until after Easter. There was a large gathering of members at the Wattle Tearooms. The speaker to-day was Mr. A, E. Manning, who entertained with Interesting and amusing reminiscences of Hamilton 35 years ago. a report will appear to-morrow. After expressing thanks to the speaker on behalf of the club, the Mayor (Dr. F. D. Pinfold) spoke eulogistieally of the energy and enthusiasm of the president, Mr. A. E. Sandford. But for Mr. Sandford lie said, it was doubtful whether the club would have carried on and become such a successful institution in Die life of the community. (Applause). in replying. Mr. Sandford pointed out. that llie club owed a deep debt of gratitude to the speakers.
