Profits Higher. —Addressing shareholders In Hordern Brothers, Ltd., at the annual meeting in Sydney, tho acting chairman (Mr E. D. Hordern) said that the net prollt for the year ended July 31 last ammmtcd to £28,231, and represented an improvement of £10,913, compared with the previous 12 months. The company, he added, was supplying thousands more customers than previously, and had been able to pay dividends on ‘j| s preference’ shares, as they had become due, mil of profits. The directors recommend payment of a (Inal dividend for the year on the ordinary shares. The tlnancial position of the <• mtpany was sound, and the hoard looked forward to Hie future with confidence. The interim dividend at the rale of 25 per rent, on the ordinary shares was c intlrmed, and the Ihial payment of 3J per cent, was declared,
