LADIES’ GUILDS.

SALE OF WORK. The Hamilton East Anglican Ladies' Guild opened its annual sale of work in the Parish Hall this afternoon, and the function will be concluded this evening. There were many stalls and with large attendances during the afternoon and evening the Guild’s iunds should be considerably augmented. The Bishop of Waikato, the Rev. G. A. Cherrington, officially opened the function, and paid a high tribute to the Guilds’ work throughout the diocese. The stallholders are: —Cakes, Mesdames Short and Hodson; work, Mesdames Carey and Bern; sweets, Mrs Parker and Miss Parker; produce, Mrs Davidson, Miss Williamson; bran tub, Mrs Norris; afternoon tea, Mesdames Morley and Greig. ANNUAL BAZAAR. The Hamilton East Presbyterian Ladies’ Guild’s annual bazaar was held In Pearson’s Hall, Hamilton East, this afternoon. Tiie many stalls were laden, testifying to the work over the past few weeks of (he members of the Guild and the parishioners. There was a good attendance throughout the day. and a large crowd is expected tonight, when competitions will be held. The stallholders are: —Fancy goods, Mrs Haslop. Misses Collie and Thompson; plain, Mesdames .T. C. Wallace, G. Clark and Miss H. Collie; Bible Class' stall (sweets), Misses St. George, Boyd, Clements; produce stall, Mesdames Clements. McDonald, Miss Martin; home cooking, Mesdames S. Williams and Morgan; afternoon tea, Mesdames Barnett, D. Henry, Miller, Collie, Simpson and Searle.
