M justice liaise Rogers, the Royal Commissioner appointed by 'the Stevens Government to investigate the allegations regarding tin hares and fruit machines, resumed the inquiry to-day. The outstanding feature of the proceedings was an allegation by a witness, A. Potter, that his signature had been forged on an agreement to sell the lease of some land at Singleion for tin hare coursing, in return for 3000 fully paid-up shares in the Coursing Company, The Commissioner directed witness’ alic ii t ion to the fact that Hie signature had been witnessed by a m.m named llasselt, who would be liable to prosecution if it was aj forgery, j Witness replied: The signature is faked. Hassell did not witness it. The hearing was again adjourned. ]
