WEDDING
GOUK —JONES. The wedding was solemnised at St. John’s Anglican Church, Te Awamutu, last evening, between Edna Dora, younger daughter of Mr and 'Mrs Raymond Jones, Klhikihi Road, Te Awamutu, and Kenneth Norman, younger son of Mr and Mrs D. Gouk, of Auckland. Rev. S. Wareing officiated. The bride, who entered the church with her father wore a slim fitting gown of ivory satin beaute and a beautiful hand embroidered veil. She carried a sheaf of white cyclamen and hyacinths. The two bridesmaids, Miss Nellie Reese, and Miss Evelyn Thompson, of Papakyra, wore slim fitting frocks of apple ' green organdie with bustle frills. They wore large green felt hats to match, and carried posies of pink camelias. Mr Kenneth Dodd, of Matamata, was best man, and Mr Lionel Jones, brother of the bride, was groomsman. The wedding music was played by Miss Phyllis North. The reception was held at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs R. Lockyer. Mrs Jones received the guests in a frock of black satin beaute relieved with ecru lace collar and cuffs, assisted by Mrs Lockyer, who was wearing cream georgette trimmed in pastel shades. After the reception, Mr and Mrs iK. Gouk left for the wedding trip, the bridle travelling in a frock of leaf green moire silk, with face cloth coat to match and black hat. Mr and Mrs Gouk will make their future home at ‘Matamata.
