RAIN NEEDED.
A BAD WINTER. COLD AND DRY CONDITIONS. Rain is badly needed in the Waikato, the winter being one of the coldest and driest experienced for some years. The dry summer which preceded a bad spring last season mado serious inroads into winter feed provision, as a result of which farmers generally are feeling the effect of depleted pastures.
