NINETY-FIFTH BIRTHDAY.

MR ENOS. HOLLOWAY. Mr Enos. Holloway, of Morrinsville, celebrated the 95th anniversary of his birthday on Sunday. He Is In excellent health. Mr Holloway was born in Devonshire in 1837, and joined Her Majesty’s Army in 1855, while the Crimean War was in progress. For 11 years he was in the. 40th Regiment, which was stationed in Ireland, then in Australia, and came over to New Zpaland when the Maori War broke out In Taranaki in IS6O. When the war died down he took his discharge, and has spent the past 66 years in one or. other of the Waikato towns, working at his trade until ho came to live in retirement at Morrinsville. Mr and Mrs Holloway were married in Te Awamutu 67 years ago. Mrs Holloway, who also enjoys very good health, was born in Auckland in the forties, her people being very early settlers.
