BIBLE SOCIETY.
ANNUAL MEETING AT MATANGI. A large number of ladies attended the annual meeting 'Of the Matangi branch of the British and Foreign Bible Society, at Mrs T. Thompson’s residence on Friday. Mrs Judd presided. A satisfactory financial statement was given by Mrs Hay. An able address on “The Will of God," was given by Miss Henry, secretary for the society. In the Waikato. Votes of thanks were accorded to the retiring officers and collectors. Mrs Judd was re-elected president and Mrs Hay secretary and treasurer. The collectors are Misses A. Curie, M. Ramsay, M. Benge, M. Shaw, J. Wainwright, D. Ferris, Inglis, E. Lusby, Mesdames Marychurch, Middlemiss, Tomlinson, Judd, Burnett, Bern, Martini and 11. Baker.A fcearty vole of thanks was accorded to Miss Henry and also to Mrs Thompson for afternoon lea which she provided.
