THE WAIKATO ASSOCIATION. ANNUAL MEETING HELD. At the annual meeting of the Waikato Lawfi Tennis Association (ino.), Mr W. G. Fabling, the president .presided. ’ ‘ \ The annual report -stated that the club is in a sound financial positi-on mainly due to the careful administration of the working and entertaining expenses and the success of the Easter tournament and the Australian, ladies’ visit. Only one representative match -was played last -season, against Auckland at Hamilton, the visitors proving torious.. The standard of play in the* Easter tournament was very high, while brilliant exhibitions were given by the Australian ladies in their visit* to Hamilton. The balance-sheet shows a credlij balance of £76. ) 1 The report and balance-sheet were adopted as read. ' The following officers were elected* Patron: Mr S. B. Sims; president, Mr W. G. Fabling; vice-presidents, F. Swayne, Dr. H. E. Annett itand president of sub-a3so<slations; %on. secretary, Mr K. W. Howard; treasurer, Mr E. A. Cox; auditor, Mr L. Champion; management committee, Messrs J. McCullagh, D. Seymour, V. Alexander, H. Dr Samson, A. W. E. 1 Bragg, M. Rosey, A. W. Patterson. Delegates to [New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association: Mr E. McCarroll, Professor F. P. Wilson, of Wellington and Dr. Annett of Hamilton. It was decided to communicate with the Waikato East sub-Association, asking if they wished to make a formal protest regarding the final of the Waikato Challenge Banner competition. It is alleged that the 'final, games were played in the -dusk. j
