THE HAMILTON CLUB. OPENING MEETING HELD. HAMILTON DOGS WIN STAKES. The Hamilton Coursing Glub held Its opening meeting of the season at it enclosure at W'hitiora on Saturday afternoon when there was a good attendance. A maiden and an open stake were held, the Hamilton-owned Country King and Flying Tui from the same headquarters -scoring In the respective levents- The standard of coursing was high and if the opening afternoon’s sport is any criterion a successful year will be experienced by the club. Following were the results:— Malden Stake of £9 12 s.—First Round: Country King (Hamilton)'beat Bcaury (Te Aroha) ; Bonny Emerald (Hamilton) beat -Catch ’em (Waihi); Master Fearnought (Pukeko-he) beat Beau Sabrcur (Hamilton) ; Barnaole Bill (Cambridge) beat Lady Pam (Hamilton): Black Tracker (Hamilton) beat Breeze (Gordonton) ; Winning Hit (Hamilton) ran a bye. Second Round: Country King beat Bonny Emerald; Barnacle Bill beat Master Fearnought, Winning Hit beat Black Tracker. Third Round: Country King beat Barnacle Bill, Winning -Hit ran a bye. Final: E. Goldsworthy’s Country King beat J. HarcourL’s Winning Hit. Open Stake of £6 iOs.—First Round: Flying Tui (Hamilton), beat The Gift (To Aroha); Wee Lassie (Hamilton) beat Irish Hope (Hamilton); Flying Queen (Walhl) beat Yellow Peril (Waihi); Karapoti (Pukekohe) beat Termini (Te Aroha). Second Round. Flying Tui beat Wee Lassie, Karapoti beat Flying Queen. Final: F. Solomon’s Flying Tui beat M. Fletchers Karapoti.
