AFTERMATH OF FIRE.
SAFE ALLEGEDLY ROBBED. (By l’elejrrapn.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Saturday. Following a fire at Bardwell’s confectionery shop the police received a report that £7O had been stolen from the safe. Mr Bardwell states that he locked the safe before leaving the premises and after the fire the safe was found open and the money gone.
