Playing a wonderfully tenacious game, England, In spite of the loss of Thompson early through concussion and Horton in the second half, defeated Queensland by 15 points to 10. Tries for England were scored by Brogden, Feetham and Adams, all of which were converted by 'Hodgson. For Queensland, Upton and Madsen scored tries, Upton and Laws each converting one. There was an attendance of 14,000 spectators.
