HAMILTON ASSOCIATION. A french evening. The last meeting of the Hamilton Music Students’ Association was deYO'ted to French music. Miss Rucroft | introduced the subject in a very interesting address, and an enjoyable evening was spent. The programme w r as as follows: — Piano, “L’ausonnie" (country dance) (Couperin), and “Sara■bande” (Rameau)', Miss Jolly; song, “Bois Epais (in French) (Lully), Mrs A. Sims; trio, “Sonata” (Loeillet), Misses Valder (piano), Leak (violin) and Heywood (’cello); song, “Open Thy Blue Eyes” and (, Elegie” (Massenet), Mr Hickford; piano, Prelude, Fugue and Variations (Cesar Franck), Miss N. Valder; song, “Bergere Legere” and “Venez, Agreable Printemps,” Miss Hamilton; song, “Agnus Dei” (Bizet), Miss A, Higglnson, with two piano accompaniments and violin obligato by Miss Rucroft (piano), Miss Ready (piano), and Miss Leak (violin) ; song, ‘ ,l Now is the Time to Love (Gounod), Mrs lan Stuart; song, “Do You Remember” (Godard), Mr G. Wheeler; piano, “Etude Ryt'hme ” (Saint Saens), Miss N.
