The will of Mr George Eastman, the Kodak camera-king, who shot himself dead at his homo at Rochester, New York State, on .March 14, lias been proved at 20,000,000 dollars (£4,000,000 at par). 11 is understood that Hie bulk of his fortune has been left to the University or Rochester. Mr Eastman's philanthropic gifts during his lifetime, of which a generous share went to Britain, were estimated •at £15,000,000. Mr Eastman’s is the third large, American estate proved recently. Tho will of Mr Thomas Fortune. Ryan, the New York financier, admitted to prnbalo. in February at £29,000,000, was the second largest on record.
