Mrs Guy Evans, of Levin, returned home yesterday from some weeks spent in visiting friends in the Waikato.

Miss Vida Dalzell, of Hamilton, is visiting Wellington. Later she will leave for Timaru on a visit to her aunt, Mrs Feilden.

Mrs H. Montgomerie, of Hamilton, is visiting Wellington. She will leave at the end of the month on a holiday to Zanzibar, where she will visit her sister, Mrs Richard Rankin, at the Residency.

Sister Kicholls, of the Methodist Maori Mission, has returned to Hamilton, after an absence of three months in the South Island, where sho has been engaged in deputation and other Maori Mission work.

The annual dance of the Hamilton Rowing Club will be held in the Alexandra Hall on Thursday evening next, May 26.

The entertainment committee of the Lyceum Club have arranged a town and country aflernoOn for next Tuesday. A musical programme will be presented.

*** * . . A most enthusiastic meeting of Lie Hamilton Post and Telegraph Pastime Club was held on Thursday evening, when it was decided to hold their annual ball on the Gth. July. The function last year was most successful and every effort will he made this year to eclipse past successes.
