Within the Washington Pact’s 10,000-tons limitation, France has built a remarkable cruiser, the Algeria, which is being launched at Brest tomorrow. It has no funnel, one mast, and two seaplane catapults. Her decks are specially protected against bombs and she carries eight eightinch guns.
