team would keep those men In hockey and keep the Interest going. The following resolution was passed, “That the Old Boys’ Club enter a third team in the Waikato Hockey Association’s Competitions on the condition that the association grant a reduction in fees to be acceptable to the olub’s delegates.” After considerable discussion the name of the third team was fixed at “Old Boys’ Whippets."
