MISSIONARY REVIVAL.
EXHIBITION IN HAMILTON. PLANNED FOR NEXT MONTH. ARCHBISHOP TO BE PRESENT, The opinion that the present efforts of the church on behalf of mission were not sufficient was expressed at a meeting of the Hamilton Rural Deanery Board, and it was decided tnat steps should be taken to achieve greater results. With this object in view a su'b-committee was set up, and through its efforts a big missionary exhibition is to be held in this district from June 13 to 18. Acting m co-operation with the Rev. F. C. Long, secretary of the New Zealand Board of Missions, and Major H. Robinson, of the Melanesian Mission, a very fine programme has been arranged. On Sunday, June 12, the day preceding the opening of the exhibition, •special preachers will occupy the pulpits at the Cathedral and St. George’s, Frankton and will give a general survey of the New Zealand Board of Missions’ work in its various phases. The actual exhibition is to be held on June 13, 14, and 15 in Hamilton, and on the following two days in Cambridge. It will also 'be staged at Huntly. There will be two sessions each day, commencing at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Interesting curios, native work, and souvenirs from the mission fields of China, India, Africa Melanesia, Polynesia, and Palestine, and also from, the Maori mission, will be shown on the stalls. Talks on the work in the various fields will be given each afternoon, while in the evening a film showing activities in Melanesia will be screened, and a missionary play staged. The Archbisuop of New Zealand has consented to perform the opening ceremony in Hamilton on Monday, June 13. The Bishop of Waikato will speak at the exhibition on the Tuesday.
