Now Zoaland's Population. —The estimated population of New Zealand and the dependencies and mandated territory on March 31 last was 1.580,790, The population of New Zealand proper on that date, exclusive of Maoris, is estimated at 1,455,107. The total increase in population during the quarter ended March 31 last was 2745, as compared with an increase of 4853 during the corresponding quarter of 1931.
