BURGLARY AT HUNTLY. la-:' ■ - .'-.tv- ' V : ; H ■ : ."r. ; - AUCKLAND, Monday.Frederick William Schluter, of Sluter, aged 42, the prisoner who escaped from the Mount Eden prison on Friday afternoon, Is still at liberty. A close watch Is being kept by the police., Schluter is described by the police as being one of the cleverest “ confidence ” men in New Zealand. , Some time during Saturday night H?e house of Mr A. F. Smith, atHqntly, was broken Into a,nd a blue gabardine overcoat, a gold watch, an engagement ring and six spoons and six soft collars were stolen. The authorities are inclined to link the escaped prisoner with the robbery.
