THE LATEST RETURNS. IMPROVEMENT IN POSITION. WELLINGTON, Thursday. During the four-weekly period end•d February 27, the railway working account showed an improvement. The latest return shows the position to be better by £23,316 than that for February last year. For the 48 weeks of •the financial year ended on February 27, the working profit is £114,600 'greater than in the corresponding • portion of 1930-31. ...Following is a summary of the dcteline in revenue and the reduction in ■'expenses in comparison with the previous year’s results for the various periods:—
