DARING ROBBERY.
hotel safe carried off. (Dy Telegraph.—Press Assoetnlton.) CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. A daring robbery was committed early this morning at Hie Club Hotel, Sydenham. The thieves carried off the hold safe, containing the takings for tin' past few days and additional casli which was being carried over the Holiday. It is believed (lie thieves must have hidden in Hie building until the staff retired. Access In the office was gained by means of a small aperture, I.'dn by ‘lOin, where Hie telephone is placed.' It is believed a small man must have gone through this hole and opened the office door from the inside.
