After 12 years’ experience of prohibition Finland has voted in favour of a return of liquor licences. The question was submitted to referendum, and restoration was carried by an overwhelming margin. Enormous crowds cheered the figures displayed outside newspaper offices. Hotels and restaurants are Hying Hags in honour of the result.
