MORRINSVILLE NEWS

PLUNKET SOCIETY. Nurse GHff, reporting on the work of the Morrinsville branch of the Ptunket Society, states that she paid four visits to Morrinsville in November. Visitors to the Ptunket room totalled 281, comprising 134 adults, 129 babies, and 18 older children. All the babies under the nurse’s care were doing well.

GIRL GUIDES. The Morrinsville Company of Girl Guides had arranged an open-air oamp fire meeting to mark the close of the year, but the weather not being favourable they had to ohange the ‘‘camp site" to the Alasonic Hall, where the girls, some 30 strong, with the oommittee, parents and friends spent a jolly evening. QUEEN CARNIVAL DANCE.

A very successful dance in aid of the Red Queen was held in the Masonlo Hall. There was a Wge attendance, some 60 couples being present The funds will benefit -considerably.
