Moate, secretary of the Stewards’ Union, with the authority of the maritime unions, has communicated with the Prime Minister, Mr J. H. Scullin, requesting him to negotiate with the Governments of New Zealand and Fiji with the object of prohibiting the Niagara and Aorangi from trading In Australian waters, in the event of their Australian crews being displaced by foreigners, following the recent merger arrangement with the Canadian Pacific Railway.
