TE PUNINGA NEWS.
TENNIS CLUB DANCE. Although not as well attended as some previous Te Puninga dances, that held by the Rawhiti Tennis Club on Wednesday evening was enjoyed by those present. Mr L. Cubis was M.C., and music was supplied by a Matamata orchestra, and extras by Mr R. Micheson. The supper arrangements were in the hands of Mesdames Cubis, Lamb, Dakers and Spice and Miss Bollard.
Among those present were:—Mesdames L. Cubis, E. Lucas, P. Flynn, J. Dakers, Misses D. Arndt, N. Arndt, E. Blue, 0. Colson, I. Conning, M. Daffell, M. Duffell, B. Gibb, M. Bollard, G. Lawrence, M. McCarthy, A. Martinovich, M. Martinovich, G. Meek, I. Meek, B. Mueller, L. Pennell, K. Wilkins, M. Tong, V. Wilkins.
CARD EVENING.
The card evening on Tuesday in aid of the hall funds was attended by 20 players. For the ladies’ prize. Miss Blue and Mrs Brosnan tied, the former being successful when the pack was cut. Mr C. Harrison won the men’s prize.
