A RECIPE.
HOME-MADE BREAD. Here is a recipe for bread, sufficient to make two good-sized loaves:— Ingredients: One sifter full of flour, 1 good teaspoonful of salt, 1 breakfastcup of yeast, 1J cups warm water. Method: Sift flour and salt. Make a hole in the mixture and pour in warm water and yeast. Knead for 10 minutes or less. Allow dough to stand overnight (the bread should be commenced in the evening). In the morning knead again for 10 minutes; divide Into two, and put into wellgreased tins. Allow to stand for two hours In a warm place. Then bake in medium oven for an hour.
