DAIRY FACTORIES.
CONFERENCE OF MANAGERS.. FORMATION OF ORGANISATION.. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. A conference of representative dairy factory managers was held to-day, the primary object being to form a Do-minion-wide organisation. Mr P. C. H. Peterson presided. He said the industry was now highly technical, and it should be the aim of every manager to obtain more knowledge and be able to apply it for the improvement of the product. A motion was carried urging the grading of cheese on the same lines as butter. Another motion urged the abolition of any limitation of working hours in dairy "factories.
