GENERAL ELECTION.
AUCKLAND WEST. UNITED PARTY CANDIDATE. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. Mr H. R. Mackenzie has accepted an invitation to contest the Auckland West seat at the general election in the interests of the .United Party. In accepting the invitation, Mr Mackenzie said he did so because he thought it was a lime when men of experience In public life should offer their services to the country. Although ho had been associated with the Reform Party, he disagreed with Mr Coates’ attitude toward Mr Forbes’ fusion offer. WELLINGTON EAST. 1 REFORM REPRESENTATIVE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. At a meeting of Reform Party delegates this evening, Mr T. Forsyth was unanimously selected to represent Reform at the general election in the Wellington East electorate. THE KAIAPOI SEAT. THE LABOUR CANDIDATE. REV. J. K. ARCHER SELECTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday. Mr W. 11. Murray, a city councillor, has been selected as the United candidate for Grey Lynn.
