EXCESSIVE TAXATION.
If the approaching season falls to Improve from tho monetary aspect it would appear that many country olubs of long standing that have supplied th© requirements of patrons in their own particular district, will have to ceaso operations. The remedy Is for the Government to reduce th© taxation on racing to a more equitable foundation and devise some means by whloh racing clubs should be taxed only upon their profits.
