ANGLICAN MISSIONS.
VERY DIFFICULT YEAR. A SHORTAGE OF £IB7O. _\ (By Telegraph.—Pres= Association.) NELSON, Monday. The Bishop of Neslon, president, reports that the New Zealand Anglican Board of the Missions has had a very difficult year. There is a distinct falling off in the four large cities. The diocese of Waloapu is deserving of all praise, having raised £1990 in spite of its crippled condition and losses in the earthquake. The total contributions were £15,012 17s 4d and the actual shortage comes to £IB7O, which in a year of severe depression can be regarded as satisfactory, and encouraging, The diocese of Nelson is the only one to have the honour of reaching its budget. It had an excess of £33 on a budget of £I4OO.
