Asked in the House of Commons whether, in determining the details of the provincial constitutions of India, it is proposed to hold conferences ot the interests affected in each province separately, Mr Wedgwood Benn, Secretary of State for India, said it was not proposed to hold provincial conferences at the present stage, but when Hie time came lo settle the details relating to the franchise and constituencies Hie committee appointed for I his purpose would no doubt have to hold separate iirquiries in each province.
