AT FRANKTON YARDS. SHEEP PRICES FIRMER. There was a good yarding of sheep at the weekly stock sale at the Frankton yards to-day, and quotations were firmer than the previous week. Beef oame forward In good numbers, and prices were on a par with last week’s rates. Sheep came forward in average numbers, and values were a shade easier. There was a good attendance and competition fair. The auctioneers, up to the time of going to press, quote as under: — Loan & Meroantlto Company. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd,, quote: —Prime fat wethers, 15s 5d to 15s 9d; lighter fat wethers, 12s 9d to 14s 6a; light fat wethers, 9s Id to 10s 9d; good fat ewes, 10s 9d to 12s 9a,’lighter fat ewes, 7s 9d to 8s 6d; good fat lambs to 14s. Heavy fat bullocks, £8 19s to £9 13s; lighter fat bullocks, £8 3s to £8 17 6d; good vealers, £3 2s Gd to £4 ss. The advertised line of store sheep from Gisborne were offered, but were not sold. A good yarding of fat and store cattle came forward at late rates. Pigs were penned In average numbers and late quotations ruled. An advertised herd [ uf dairy cattle sold well, under good competition.
