POWER BOARD MERGER.
WAITOMO AND WAIRERE. DELEGATES TO VISIT WELLINGTON (Special to Times.) OTOROHANGA, Tuesday. Representatives of the Waitomo and the Wairere (Pio Pio) Electric Power Boards are proceeding to Wellington to interview the Public Works Department regarding the proposed merger between the two boards. it will be necessary to obtain the permission of the Public Works Department before further plant could be installed in the Wairere scheme, and before the amalgamation could be finalised. The sum of £7622 will be required to develop the require l extra power at Wairere, and £3BOO for new installations, etc., in the Waitomo Board’s area.
