CLAY BIRD SHOOTING.
HAMILTON GUN CLUB. GOOD STANDARD MAINTAINED. The Hamilton Gun Club held Its fortnightly shoot on Saturday afternoon, the weather and visibility being perfect. Owing to counter activities (here was not the usual large number of shooters, but the standard of shooting was well maintained. Five nine-bird sweeps and a Gimoraok shoot were held, with the following results: — First Sweep.—W. J. McMiken, C. Scddon, W. Percival and A. Aitkcn shot the possible and divided. Second Sweep.—W. J. McMiken, C. Seddon, 11. Earle and L. Zimmerman shot the possible. On tho shoot-off McMiken and Seddon again shot the possible and divided. Third Sweep.—C. Seddon. W. J. McMiken and Wm. Aitken scored the possible. On the shoot-off McMiken gained first place, Seddon and Aitken tying for second. Fourth Sweep.—H. Earle, L. Zimmerman aml W. J. McMiken tied for first place with the possible and divided. Fifth Sweep.—C. Seddon, W. J. McMiken, 11. Earle and A. Aitken shot the possible and divided. Gi me rack, 0 birds.—L. Zimmerman and H. Earlo shot tho possible and, as it was nearly dark, divided.
