PLUNKET SOCIETY.

MORRINSVILLE BRANCH. ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of the Morrlnsville branch of the Plunket Society, ttic report stated that a good attendance at tlie rooms had been maintained throughout the year. There had been 2235 visits made to the rooms during the year and the work of the society had been ably carried out by Nurse Cliff. The balance-sheet showed receipts amounting to £l4O, including the following: Subscriptions £lO 14s Gd, sale of infants’ food £56, annual street stall £'l7 8s Id, dance proceeds £8 3s 2d, proceeds of afternoon £6 2s, Mangateparu social £7, Tauhei social £6 Ss 7d. The expenditure included nurse's salary £35 and Infants’ food £6O 2s Id, leaving a credit balance of £3O 13s 4d. Not having suitable premises of its own, it was agreed to join forces with the Playground Committee and work with it to raise funds with a view to building a Plunket room in conjunction with the children's playground. Thanks were due to those who had assisted at the different functions and to Mr Hodges for supplying lunch for the nurse.

The following officers were appointed:—President, Mrs J. J. Seales; vice-presidents, Mesdames Aitken, snr., E. 11. Hutchins, E. W. Harden and L. 11. I.arner; secretary, Mrs W. McPherson; treasurer, Mrs J. 11. Boles; committee, Mesdames L. E. Pole, S. Brewis, Brodie, P. Petry, L. Echlin, C. A. Peat, N. W. Hastings, Anderson, N. Potter, Chapman and Miss B. Seales.
