At Hie Fitzroy races on May 25 a veterinary surgeon discovered that attempts had been made to administer poison to a number of horses and ponies. The horses were ordered lo be scratched. The stewards have now decided that A. Dalton and W. Stewart have been proved to have doped two ponies, anti they have been warned off Victorian trotting and Racing Association courses.
