OPERATIONS AT AUCKLAND. (By Tolegraph—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Friday. This morning fresh bidding was rather dull. Enquiries were confined to a comparatively small number of selected lines. In the hanking section a buyer offered 5 2s 6d for Commercial pref. shares. New Zealands were easier with tho best buyer stopping at £2 Bs. There was a ready demand for Auckland Gas, £1 3s being still available. Holders of Woolworth pref. shares dropped their limits to £1 ss. Mount Lyells were on offer at 17s 4d, but there were no buyers. SALES REPORTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Friday. Tho following sales took place on the Stock Exchange;— Waihi, 14s 7d. South British, 51s. Rcportod. Commercial Bank, 14s 2d.
