HAMILTON ORPHANS.
FORTNIGHTLY MEETING.
ENJOYABLE TIME SPENT,
There was a large attendance of members 'at the fortnightly meeting of the Hamilton Orphans’ Club, held on Saturday night. Bro. Vice-Presi-dent J. Parlane presided, and associated with him were Bro. 'Guardian J. A. Young, M.P., and Bro. President F. D. Pinfold.
An enjoyable evening was passed with music, song and story, an excellent programme being provided. During the evening the chairman announced that the Hamilton Club will pay an official visit to the Cambridge Orphans next Saturday night. A motion of sympathy with Bro. A. J. Grant in his recent bereavement was carried, the gathering standing in silence.
The musical programme was as follows:—Selections, Hamilton Orphans’ Orchestra; violin solos, Bro. T. Janeway; trombone solos, Bro. N. Sorensen; songs, Bros. T. R- Jones, J. C. McCready, B. Anderson and R. Sweet.
