HERD-TESTING.
CONFERENCE OF OFFICERS. A conference of testing officers "was held in Hamilton on Thursday, and Friday. There was an attendance of 54, representative of a very large area. * ~ _ T The general manager (Mr 5. J. SheaT) and the outside supervisor ('Mr F. o.' Knight) addressed 'the conference dealing with many important matters relatnig to the work. The officers present displayed much interest in the numerous matters disclosed in the addresses and many questions were asked and replied to by the speakers. "The testing officers Indicated that, notwithstanding the low prices obtaining for our dairy produce, they were confident‘ of getting full groups for the ensuring season as farmers now realise that they cannot afford to drop out of the movement.
