DALGETY AND COMPANY’S REPORT BEEF FIRM AT LATE RATES. (Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Auckland, report:—At our weekly Westfield fat stock market to-day ox beef came forward in averago numbers and sold steadily at late rates. Cow' and heifer beef also came forward in good numbers and hero again late, rates ruled. We quote:— Extra choice ox sold at 25s per 100 lb.; choice and prime ox, 22s io 245; just kl’fible, to 21s; prime young cow and heifer beef,. 22s to 245; just kiilablc. Us to 21s. Heavy prime steers made £8 10s lo £0 2s 6d; lighter prime steers, £7 fos to £8 7s e,d; light, prime steers, £6 15s to £7 7s Od; small and unfinished steers, £4 5s to £5 10s; extra heavy prime-young cows and heifers, £6 10s to £6 17s 6d; heavy prime cows-and heifers, £5 to £6 7s 6d: lighter prime cows and heifers, £4 to £5 2s 6d; other killablo cows, £1 15s to £2 15s. , - .
