STEWARDESS THRILLED. SEA SMASHED FOREBRIDQE. - - ... .-V I A HUGE SCHOOL OF SHARKS. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. LONDON,- May 26. The' Finnish four-masted' sailing ship Ponape anchored In Queenstown Harbour' to-day-, from Australia. Sha carried a- stewardess, Miss Myrl Ridgway, of Adelaide. In' an interview Miss Ridgway said she' had J enjoyed every moment of the voyage. The greatest thrill of the early part of the'voyage was a; great sea, which smashed the forebridge. She had not mustered enough courage to venture aloft. She enjoyed the rough but ample food. Once the ship passed a huge school of large sharks' and the crew caught two. Miss Ridgway was signed off to-day and will go to Glasgow to visit a married sister and she may return to Australia- in' the' Ponape'. The ship was- becalmed for five days in the Irish Sea and this robbed her of an- excellent ohance of winning the race home. Three Estonian stowaways appeared a few days after leaving Adelaide and were made to work- their' passage.
