Dalgety and Company. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report-having held their weekly sale at Frankton saleyards yesterday:— .Fat; Sheep.—A. moderate yarding. Prices generally were on a par with late rates. Fat ewes, 8s to 9s 6d; light fat wethers, lis to 12s 6d; mixed two-tooths, forward, 10s; fat lambs, 10s 6d to 14s. Store Sheep.—A large yarding of | stores, the majority from East Coast and principally consisting of empty two-tooth ewes. The demand generally was weak, and sales were difficult to make at about late rates. Our principal sales included 241 empty two-tooth ewes, 8s; 102 do., at 9s; 129 do., at Gs 3d; 81 small two-tooth wethers, 5s 7d; 31 do., 6s 7d; 108 do., 7s; 32 two-tooth ewes, 8s sd; 105 do., 6s 8d; 61 small shorn lambs, 4s 3d; 120 full-mouth ewes, in lamb to Southdown rams, 6s 3d; 258 cull ewes, 2s; cull rams, 2s. Fat Cattle. —An average yarding. Prices were 2s to 3s per 1001 b lower than last week. Light prime steers sold at £6 Is to £7 6s; prime fat cows and heifers, £3 10s to £4 17s 6d; heavy runners, £1 14s to £2 Is; others, 15s to 30s. Stpre Cattle.—A small yarding consisting chiefly of boner cows, which sold at late rates. Pigs.—There was a good yarding of fat pigs, both baconers and porkers, whilst a heavy yarding of store pigs came forward and fat pigs were again in keen demand. The top price of the day, £3 12s, was obtained for a pen of prime baconers, which we sold- on account of S. Saulbrey, Ngaruawahia. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agenoy Company, Limited, Hamilton, report having held their weekly stock sale at Frankton yards yesterday when an average entry of fat cattle realised values inferior to last week’s rates. Fat lambs, of which a heavy entry was offered, sold at slightly improved prices. A fairly heavy entry of store sheep, mostly ex Gisborne, only-just reached the owners’ reserve in most cases.
