AMERICAN ATHLETES. AUCKLAND COMPETITORS LISTED. -AUCKLAND, Saturday. The Auckland Athletic Association decided last evening to invite Randolph Rose, Don Evans, S. Lay, P. Munro, C. Jenkins, and j. Fleming, to Auckland, to compete against the visiting American athletes, who will make their first appearance in Auckland on February 7. i THE TENTH OLYMPAID. [ PREPARATIONS AT LOS ANGELES. Each country participating in the Games of the tenth Olympiad, which are to be celebrated- at Los Angeles from July 30 to August 14, 1932, will have separate training facilities, according to the Organising Committee. Already 15 complete athletic training fields, including running tracks, fields, gymnasiums, lockers, showers ami other facilities, have been arranged for within a short distance of Olympic Park. Several club gymnasiums, as well as inside and open-air swimming pools, will be available for the training of special groups. A practice rowing course adjoins the Olympic rowing stadium. The Organising Committee has made a complete survey of all such facilities in and near Los Angeles. Those most conveniently located have been selected for use during the Olympic Games. The committee lias had the complete co-operation of universities, public schools, municipal governments and athletic clubs in its work of providing these facilities. ■Such facilities will he accessible from the proposed Olympic. Village and the Olympic Stadium, and athletes will be transported en masse to and from their training places, their living quarters and the place where their competitions are field.
